  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Postfix main.cf being overwritten

Hello,
I have a number of servers on Plesk 9.X and 10.X and due to some recent problems with our ISP etc we now pipe all our email through an external server. All these servers use Postfix as their MTA, as does our Mail Relay.

I can get this working perfectly by adding the line:
relayhost = xxx.yyy.com

However - tonight I had reports that our old problem was back (before we started to use a Relay Host), so I had a look to find out that mail from this server was no longer filtering through the relay host, I look inside /etc/postfix/main.cf and the line with the relayhost has vanished.

So my queries:
1. Why would this line have disappeared (Plesk Update [Which I don't believe has been done], Server reboot [again I don't believe this has been done], Random Config Rebuild, etc etc)
2. Is there anyway of "officially" adding the relayhost line within the main.cf so that this will always be in place.

Thanks in advance!

Matt
