  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Prestashop upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstrea

Boris Panno

New Pleskian
Hi all, I've this problem with a Plesk 12.5.30 #37 installation on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Only from today, early in the morning, the backend of the Prestashop installation cause the timeout problem as described on the title of this tread.
And the log of the system report this:
2016-06-24 19:42:37 Error 93.71.130.248 21166#0: *776785 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream - nginx error.
The browser return a 504 error. I follow this solution: https://kb.plesk.com/en/120210 but the file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf is EMPTY! And the /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.default TOO! °_°
It can be an issue after the last automatic system update? 22/June/2016 06.42 ??
Before this date the backend of Prestashop was a flash!!
How can I resolve this critical problem? I've a lot of domains into this server.
Thanx in advance for any help!
Boris

Hi Boris Panno,

...
but the file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf is EMPTY! And the /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.default TOO! °_°

Due to the fact, that your NGINX installation is somehow corrupted, I suggest to re-install nginx, followed by the commands:

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/nginxmng -e
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all

Afterwards, you still can consider to tweak your nginx - configuration, as suggested in the mentioned KB - article 120210.
