  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

problem with adding new ftp account

I've been getting this error whenever I try to create a new ftp account under any domain in our plesk. This function has worked for us before (as we have lots of user accounts among different domains), so I'm not sure what may have caused this.

"Error: Unable to update FTP account: Unable to create web user: Update FTP user failed: ftpmng --add-user failed: The user name could not be found. (Error code 2221) at NetUserGetInfo(username)"

I've read somewhere that running the following command may help reset things, but I'm not sure. Will they erase all of the users we've created so far? Will they reset user permissions?

>"%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe" --remove-all
>"%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe" --reconfigure-all

I have the same problem, but in Plesk 8.3

Any solution ?

>"%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe" --remove-all
>"%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe" --reconfigure-all

Such commands simply recreate all ftp users. But I am not sure if they can help in your problem.
