  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Procedure for installing Plesk from local medium

New Pleskian
I tried to install Plesk on a fresh new CentOS 5.4 server with that corresponding Plesk RPM packages archive I downloaded previously. However, I've check out Plesk installation guide but it does not clearly indicate the correct procedure of installing Plesk from local medium. I attempted to run the autoinstaller and point it to install it from the rpm packages but I kept encountering lots of errors, such as:

ERROR: The file /root/parallels/PSA_9.5.1/plesk-9.5.1-cos5-i386.inf3 was not found.

I know most of the people would recommend me install Plesk from the Plesk Update server, however I prefer to install it locally as if I happen to need to reinstall it again, I won't need to redownload everything again.

Could someone shed a bit of light of this?

Cheers

You should install it with usual 'rpm -ivh *.rpm'
