• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Proxy Web Services

toomanylogins

Basic Pleskian
We need to setup a proxy server on our plesk ubuntu server running PHP and Apache. The proxy server must proxy web service calls from our application to a secure server using ssl and a digital certificate. The secure server is running Apache and the proxy server needs to authenticate using the digital certificate. On the Web services side the authentication between our application and the plesk server is via username and password. The proxy server then passes through the web service methods to the application.

From what I can gather mod_proxy is included in the plesk Apache default installation. I just need to work out

1. how do I load the module
2. where do I put the digital certificate, do I need to load the ssl module?
3. can someone confirm the consideration for mod_proxy is via the vhosts.conf

Has anybody has any pointers or done something similar?

regards
Paul
