• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Qmail Crash!

flosoft

Basic Pleskian
Hey,

I use Plesk 7.5 Reloaded on a P4 3,06GHz, 2GB Ram Linux machine.

I used SuSE 9.1 Pro before and had the problem that Qmail kept crashing (Stopped in Plesk Interface) so no mail was comming in nor out.

So I reinstalled the Server to a Debian 3.1 Distro. Same problem!

Please ... I need a fix.
Anyone else maybe with the same problem?

He is just advertising his forum. In any case, what problems are you seeing? Have you investigated any of the log files for problems?

Inbound mail on Fedora w/ Qmail comes in via xinetd. Is inetd running on your machine? Look in messages and secure log files for any clues. Normally qmHandle, qmqtool, and queue-fix are really for fixing and cleaning mail queues.

I would also check if it is running, check with ps xa |grep qmail

It really doesn't make any sense from a fresh install that you would have problems with qmail, so you need to dig a little deeper.

Well the problem I see: In Plesk QMail is marked as stopped, no mail is incomming or outgoing.

I couldn't find anything in the logs. :S
