  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi all,
Referring to Plesks roadmap I can see some plans for legacy PHP in Q2 2025, that ends in June. Does anyone know more about this?

@manni , we are planning to introduce extended support and security patches for EOL PHP versions. Please let us know if you have any specific questions, so I can attempt to address them in detail.

This brings up two questions and one hint:

1. Is this another thing where Plesk GmbH wants to charge customers for ?
1.b.) Let me refer to well working howtos that we currently use to offer PHP 5.3 for Debian and Almalinux (8)

2.) As we are in the middle of Q2 is this Release to be expected in the Next few days?

Thank you for the questions, @manni .

1. Is this another thing where Plesk GmbH wants to charge customers for ?

The service will be optional and subscription-based with a monthly fee.

1.b.) Let me refer to well working howtos that we currently use to offer PHP 5.3 for Debian and Almalinux (8)
I am afraid, I was unable to understand the statement/question. Do you mean to say that there's no issue running PHP 5.3 on Debian/AlmaLinux without ELS? If you can elaborate and provide more details it will be greatly appreciated.

2.) As we are in the middle of Q2 is this Release to be expected in the Next few days?

The release is planned for the end of Q2. However, there might be a delay and it could be potentially postponed for Q3. At this point, I cannot firmly confirm the exact date.
