  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Reinstall OS on a VPS to Install Plesk

WebHostingAce

Silver Pleskian
Hi,

This is more Linux related question,

has anyone reinstall OS on a VPS via SSH remotely?

Reason i'm asking is one of our provider deoesn't have Plesk VPSs.

All the VPSs comes with CPanel. I just want to reinstall CentOS and Install Plesk.

Possible with a RAM Drive?

Anyone has to done it before?

Thank you

Thank you @UFHH01

but they will have for sure PURE operating systems as installation images. Consider to contact your VPS - provider.
Sadly NO, They don't have "Pure Operating Systems" as installation images. Provider - inMotion. I already contacted sales few times.

Is there anyway we can reinstall a OS on a VPS?

I found this online, not i'm not sure how to do this. creating a memory drive and keep ssh running then format the disk and install a OS by ISO

If it is OpenVZ/Virtuozzo VPS - you can't reinstall OS only with ssh access to VPS.
I'm not sure about another virtualization solutions.
