• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Reject Mail to nonexistent user: server wide

ataab

Basic Pleskian
Hello all,

How can i set the "reject mail to nonexistenet users" for the whole server, and i do not want users to override it.

thanks,

Hello,

You can set up Preferences for Handling Mail to Nonexistent Users (Mail Bounce) for all the domains at once. To do this, log in to the Parallels Plesk Panel, go Domains, select domains you wish to set a rule on or tick the title bar checkbox if you wish to modify all domains, click on Group Operations, scroll down to the Preferences area and choose what to do with the mail to nonexistent user.

Regards,
Denis.

Thanks Denis,

This is how i am managing it right now. But some clients will repeatedly enable the forward option and will start forwarding all the emails (which are all the spam, and are a lot) to yahoo and hotmail addresses and cause problem for all of them. Further they cause backscator problem.

I want to set it as a server policy as a whole if possible.

Many Thanks,
