  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Removing Dr. Web - Installing ClamAV on Debian

fluxx

New Pleskian
Hello,

I am running Plesk 8.0.1 on Debian 3.1 (I am new on Debian) and want to remove Dr. Web and go to the free ClamAV. That´s what I have figured out so far:

Removing Dr. Web:
apt-get remove drweb
apt-get remove drweb-qmail

Telling Plesk the change: /opt/psa/admin/bin/packagemng

Installing ClamAV:
apt-get install mailscanner
apt-get install clamav

I didn´t try this until now, because its a productive system and I am quite sure, that this is not the whole necessary procedure.
I have also found, that on some systems the wrapper "qsheff" must also be installed and "ripMIME" to examine attachments, but I am not sure, if I have to do this on my system. I cant get this packages with apt-get.

Does anybody already moved from Dr.Web to ClamAV on Debian and can tell the procedure?

Thanks,
Michael
