Question Replicate Plesk Onyx own DNS in Linode DNS

Hi, I want to replicate my Plesk Onyx internal DNS settings /zones into Linode DNS (as slave).
So I can use NS1.linode -NS2 with my clients

What i Did up to now :
- In my Plesk Onyx Panel -> Settings -> DNS -> Transfer Restrictions Template -> Common Allow Zone Transfer ACL
I added Linode NS1 and NS2 Ip Addresses

I dont know what to do next :
- I have to add a Slave Zone in linode DNS Manager ? What settings?
- Use Plesk SLAVE DNS MANAGER extension?

The idea is to have Plesk do all the automate work, and then get replicated in Linodes DNS.

I would suggest you to use Plesk SLAVE DNS MANAGER extension for this purpose.

Hi,

I think you need https://www.linode.com/docs/networking/dns/dns-manager-overview#add-a-domain-zone, especially step #6 from section "Add a Domain Zone":

6. If you want to add a slave zone instead of a master zone, click the I wanted a slave zone link to the lower right.

You need to do this for all your dns zones.


You may use 'Plesk SLAVE DNS MANAGER' extension if you can manage slave dns-server via `rndc` command. But I afraid it's not possible with Linode.
