• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Restore from backup error

Hi,

I'm migrating from a dedicated server with Plesk 9.5.4 to a hosted Plesk 9.5.2.
So I thought backing up the settings + content with the backup manager and uploading it to the new server should do the trick. But it gives an error. I even tried to backup some domains individually and upload to the new servers repository.

The backup is successful but when I upload them to the new server I the following error:

The file you are trying to upload is not a Plesk backup file, or it is a backup file from older version of Plesk. In the latter case you have to use the backup converter utility to convert this backup file into backup format supported by current version of Plesk.

What could be the problem? Are there a log that states the precise error?

Thanks for your response.

New update in the situation.
The hosted Plesk (Linux) is updatet to Plesk 9.5.4.

The setup is now:

Windows Plesk 9.5.4 -> Linux Plesk 9.5.4
A backup created on the windows Plesk can't be uploaded to the Linux Plesk.
