  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Rule changes for user signatures

Hi everyone,

As some of you know, saw or felt first-hand, our stance on users advertising commercial Plesk support on this forum has been pretty harsh - doing so could result in a ban. We suspect it was a bit of overreaction to explicit advertisement on our part, so we'd like to address this miscommunication.

You are our community, a vital part of Plesk ecosystem. We want your business to stay healthy and you to stay happy. So, we are clarifying the rules and setting clear boundaries. Effective immediately, it is allowed to advertise your services (including commercial Plesk support) in your forum signatures on a fair use basis (no spam, abuse or insults), if you are representing them. Please refrain from starting advertising threads, though - we don't want the forum to become an online marketplace.

We are brainstorming ways to create a public Plesk-approved directory of trusted Plesk professionals, where you can promote your services with our backing. It doesn't matter if you're big or small, there should be a place for everyone. We will keep you updated on the progress - meanwhile let us know what you think.

Thank you.
