  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question secure mail.[domainname].xx with SSL

Albertje

New Pleskian
Hello,

i see a lot of possibilities of automatic installing email and so on. This is ok but what i do not understand is that mail will not be secured. But when you use automatic installing mail then it is always adding the incoming and outgoing mailaservers with mail.domain.com This gives problems with certificate.
In this case i have to enable wildcard to secure mail.

But if i use this i cannot automatic renew it while customers uses not the DNS from plesk but extern.

I think if let's encrypt give you the possibility to secure mail to then everything will alway be secured.

so not only imap, pop, smtp but also mail

so i hope it is possible to add mail into the secure list in let's encrypt.

regards Albert
