  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Sending mail request to external exchange server

suraj@

New Pleskian
Hi all,

I am currently running plesk 7.5 reloaded on freeBSD.

One of my client has setup their own exchange server. And currently, I have forwarded A record for mail.theircompany.com to exchange server IP address. Their mail seems to be working but I have few issues.

1)Is there any way I can create a backup service in case their exchange server fails?

2)Currently there are email addresses on the plesk server and all mails send by domains on the plesk server is being caught by the plesk server emails addresses. Email generated from domains outside the plesk server seems to be going to their exchange server.

The question is how do I setup in plesk so that all their mail request is sent to their exchange server and in the event their exchange server is down then how can my client still use the email from plesk.

Hoping if someone could help.

Best regards,
Suraj
