• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Serious issue, password on my website home page

I was trying to change some access, via right click on the Inetpub folder and giving read access to all the users, so that I might successfully install Joomla. Once I did that I can no longer get to my website without a password.
Please help me give my internet visitors access to view my page again.

check permissions

Hi,

Plz use check permissions from your control panel.

1) log into ur control panel
2) click on the home icon to have the domains listed
3) select the checkbox for the domain with the issue
4) click on the check permissions icon

I am having the same issue...I tried Check permissions, ran the re-configurator, ran the command line tools ApplySecurity and Hosting one. Still, I get asked for password, and also I can't preview any virtual directories using sitepreview without getting an ACL exception returned for every page except the default.

ANy ideas would be apprecieated...

Cheers,

Al_Dente
