  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Simplest means to enable htaccess files on a Plesk 11 subdomain.

New Pleskian
I need to use .htaccess files on a specific domain on my VPS with Linux Plesk 11, but not on all (since I'm told there's a performance hit if allowing on all). Reading in forums and the like, shows a fairly complicated means to change httpd.conf templates etc, but I'm wondering if there's a simpler way?

The answer is probably close to this thread, but : http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?264870-htaccess-not-work-KB-124&highlight=htaccess.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I imagine many Plesk Users must come across this problem.

Bonus question/help: How to fix the error generated after using the tips at http://www.gadberry.com/aaron/2006/02/09/plesk_vhost/. Ran: /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng -u --vhost-name=domain.com command and now I get (see error screenshot):
