• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

SiteBuilder integrated with Plesk

Hello all,

My Plesk's license comes with SiteBuilder 3.2 for Windows. A few days ago our server infected by that "MailEnable" virus and we had to re-provision it.

Now, when I try to use SiteBuilder links (under SiteBuilder Admin in Plesk control panel) I receive the following error: "An error occurred while trying to connect to SiteBuilder. Please contact the Plesk server administrator".

It is very strange because:

1. Before re-provisioning of the server, I had no problem with SiteBuilder.

2. Uninstalling and re-installing SiteBuilder didn't help.

3. I can login into SiteBuilder directly (http://mydomain.com:2006/Admin).

4. KB #1176 advises to login into SiteBuilder, create an 'admin' SiteBuilder user having 'Administrator' role with the same
password as for Plesk. The "admin" account with "Administrator" role is already there, and has the same password as for Plesk.

I've searched this site (fourm, knowledgebase, etc) and didn't find any solution.

Your help will be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Hosein
