• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

SMTP fails after upgrade

KiamOe

Basic Pleskian
My Panel was automatically updated to 11.5.30 (Update #10) this morning and now we cannot send email. I have checked the doc of the upgrade and I see several email related issues are included but nothing that should affect the SMTP server. I've also reviewed all the settings and nothing looks odd at all. I've also tried to "SMTP lock time" feature but no change... as before I'm using smtp authorization but no change.

Changing SMTP settings in the mail client to no encryption I get this error:

"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1). Please check the message recipient user@MyDomain.com [<--- this I anonymized] and try again."

The last error message here actually only mean that the email client did not use STMP authentification. So it's not related to my problem sending email via SMTP. I cant send after making sure the mail client uses authentification.

Any ideas?
