• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,
yesterday night I upgrade my server to 8.3 everything was Ok, but early morning I receive an a alert that disk is at or near capacity after a research I found that in C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\db there were a big amount of files created by spamassassin files with this name .spamassassin1960JC3DG5tmp, .spamassassin1960JlKTFptmp seem like temporary files.

Any idea why is happening this

Perhaps SpamAssassin was not correctly upgraded, reinstall it from add/remove program (renaming old folder SpamAssassin to .old)

Thanks John, I appreciate you comments
But I already reinstall SpamAssassin and still creating those files, meanwhile I create BAT that goes to that path and delete the files, which is very disappointing to have this kind of fix

right now I fighting with other server that the webmail is not working thanks to 8.3 update this really (*@&^%$#)

Try to perform following commands (according to your webmail)
websrvmng --reconfigure-webmail
(it is common)
defpackagemng --fix --type=webmail.horde
or webmail.mewebmail (MailEnable) or webmail.smwebmail(SmarterMail) or webmail.merakwebmail (Merak)

Hi John
you know this is getting worst, this is my balance after the 8.3 update

- No webmail in a server even I made the reconfiguration.
- A lot of files (temporal) created that consume all the drive on both servers, but different path
- For unknown reason the MTA services just stop once o twice a day, have to start it manually, both servers

I Already check my servers for virus and are clean, also I follow all your recommendation trying to solve this but nothing, yet

You ever resolve this issue? I recently discovered this problem myself and have done a lot of searching that just came up empty except for this thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I finally figure it out before you respond I'll be sure to post my solution.

Thank you!

No mreine, still with the issue, actually I update the servers to the version 9.0 and still this bug, so I create a Bat file that go to the path and delete all those files, then I create a sheduled Task than run every 15 min..if you find somthing please let me know.

Any luck with this? Any adverse effects from deleting these files?

I too see the same problem, I am however am not using Horde or MailEnable but hMailServer 4.4.4 (Free with IMAP & SSL) as well as AfterLogic Webmail (lite is free and I have pro installed).

I have ClamAV and Spamassassin working on the server and have confirmed it with headers and emails flagged for virus.

So i have 2 questions

1. Does anyone know how to change the path these files are saved too?

2. If you delete these files does it make spamassassin work any less, (are the needed as definitions or samples)?
