• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello, ok i have just had some mail rejected because user ID settings.

I have created an spf record in domains dns setting and wish to know if i have done this correctly.

I don't have a normal email setup though, email is collect from main web server via fetchmail and is stored on local office mail server where users gets access via IMAP.

Mail is sent via ISP smtp server as i have to enter a user name and password for sending and have not yet worked out how to to this for domain smtp on plesk server for multiple users.

So my local mail server is set as subdomain of main domain on plesk server
plesk server domain =
domain.com

office mail server =
officemail.domain.com

this is send via ISP smtp
mail.isp.com

I have created an spf txt record for domain.com which looks like

domain.com. TXT domain.com IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx a:eek:fficemail.domain.com ~all"

Is this correct or will i also need to add or just be the ISP smtp server?

many thanks
