  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Stop backup tasks

Is any easy way to stop active backup tasks?

My system hangs when performing backup.

Thanks for your quick reply, but I need to know which process to kill (to make sure I kill the correct process).

I suspect the process is this one:

23229 root 20 0 4020 732 352 S 29 0.0 0:29.62 gzip

It that correct?

Yes, gzip is one of backup process. Also you can try to find most loaded backup related process with top command.

I can not find any tasks in processlist, and in Plesk admin, there is one active backup task.

It seems that I can not stop it. Any suggestion how to find this task (to stop it or kill it)?

This is really a hopeless situation ... why on earth can't I stop a backup job?

It seems that our server started yet another backup after it finished the previous one after a reboot. And there is no way to stopping it. The responsetime on the server is so slow due to this.
