  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

CentOS 7.9, Plesk 18.0.41 MU #1

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

The TTL values for individual DNS records are not restored when restoring a backup.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Change TTL values for some individual DNS records on domain
2. Don't forget to click the update button to apply the changes to the DNS zone.
3. Make full backup of domain with Backup Manager and wait until complete
4. Restore full backup, and chose "All objects (entire system)" option (just to be sure)
5. After backup is restored go to DNS settings and notice how the custom TTL values that were changed in the first step aren't showing.

ACTUAL RESULT

TTL values for individual DNS records not restored.

EXPECTED RESULT

Have the TTL values for individual DNS records restored from backup.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I noticed that the TTL data is actually present in the backup_info_123456789.xml file.

XML:
<dnsrec type="A" src="example.com." dst="123.123.123.123" opt="" ttl="900" status="mod" external-id=""/>
