  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

I am facing some problems upgrading from Debian Wheezy to Jessie with Plesk 17.5. I have readed the documentation although probably I have missed something. My problem is that, after running the pre upgrade script, when I run the distupgrade.helper.deb7-deb8.x64.sh I get this error: "E: Unable to locate package sw-engine-cli-2.21".

I have searched for that package and I have found these versions, but no trace of sw-engine-cli-2.21
sw-engine-cli-2.16 - Plesk panel interpreter for installation/upgrade purposes
sw-engine-cli-2.22 - Plesk panel interpreter for installation/upgrade purposes

These are my repositories in sources.list and sources.list.d/*.list:
/etc/apt/sources.list:deb Index of /debian jessie main contrib non-free
/etc/apt/sources.list:deb Index of /debian jessie-updates main contrib non-free
/etc/apt/sources.list:deb Debian -- Security Information jessie/updates main contrib non-free
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/50sw_autoinstaller.list:## This is temporary appended by Autoinstaller for
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/50sw_autoinstaller.list:## specify source of product's packages for APT.
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/50sw_autoinstaller.list:deb http://autoinstall.plesk.com/debian/PSA_17.5.3 jessie all
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/50sw_autoinstaller.list:deb http://autoinstall.plesk.com/debian/PMM_0.1.10 jessie all
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/50sw_autoinstaller.list:deb http://autoinstall.plesk.com/debian/SITEBUILDER_17.0.16 all all
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/plesk.list:## Persistent repositories for Plesk Products.
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/plesk.list:deb http://autoinstall.plesk.com/debian/PSA_17.5.3 jessie extras
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/plesk.list:deb http://autoinstall.plesk.com/debian/PHP56_17 jessie all
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/plesk.list:deb http://autoinstall.plesk.com/debian/PHP70_17 jessie all

Previously, as I have Debian Wheezy, my sources.list only had this repository:
/etc/apt/sources.list:deb Index of /debian jessie main contrib non-free

Kind regards,

Hello,

Still no clue about how to install sw-engine-cli-2.21 as I can't find this package in any repository. Nevertheless, I edited the upgrade scripts to replace sw-engine-cli-2.21 with sw-engine-cli-2.22 in the distupgrade scripts (/opt/psa/bin/distupgrade.helper.deb7-deb8.x64*) and I think it has worked. I have been able to upgrade from Wheezy (Deb 7) to Jessie (Deb 8). I had also to replace libxmlrpc-c++4 with libxmlrpc-c++8 in those scripts.

Kind regards,
