  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hello,

I tried to renew a SSL cert and got the following error:

Unable to put certificate file: Unable to arrange cert file: plesk_tempnam() failed: incorrect temporary file name

I can't find any information on this error.
Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance.

I am having exactly the same issue.

Attempting to upload a private key and a cert after upgrading to v8.6 and am continually getting the error:

plesk_tempnam() failed: incorrect temporary file name

I also get this error when attempting to edit files in the in built file manager.

Bump

Hey parallels - do I really have to BUY SUPPORT to get this problem fixed!?

Bumped again - I have submitted a bug report to Parallels for this issue but haven't heard back - anyone got any ideas?

The response I got from Parallels second tier support is:

"Such kind of errors may happen if paths to folders (that Plesk uses) are not real paths but are symlinked, so that Plesk panel's PHP cannot follow them for security reasons. Like

/usr/local/psa -> /data/psa
/tmp -> /var/tmp
and so on.

The best way is to switch back and move data to standard Plesk paths. Alternatively you can try to review /etc/psa/psa.conf file and update paths there to real paths, then restart run `/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng -av` and restart Plesk. However some path variables may still be hard-coded in some Plesk code as far as I know and change of variables in psa.conf is not 100% guarantee, in this case only switching back to standard Plesk paths for specific services will help."
Will give it a shot and see how it goes.

Hurrah, it worked - thank you Vitaly...

A jihad upon symlinks!

i have the same problem, only get it if i want to change cron settings, in the server area, or for a certain domain

have been looking at the /etc/psa/psa.conf file but cant really find a path thats symlinked

judas, which symlink did you change to make it work again?

thanks

Jarl

i had a "tmp" in /var that was a symlink

and "mail" in /var/spool was a symlink

changed both to real folders, and did "/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng -av"

didnt change anything, still getting

"Crontab->export() failed: plesk_tempnam() failed: incorrect temporary file name"

any other ideas?
