Update horde email client?

What is the proper way to update the Horde Email Client? The version that came with Plesk is 2.2.4 and I want to update to 3.0.2...

I see the horde email folder in vhosts, however im hesitant to copy in the new files and run the SQL script to update to the new version of the database tables. Anyone else done this yet?

I read the upgrade procedures that horde has in the install doc, but im concerned with the change in database layout that occurs when updating to 3.0.+

Im sure someone here has done this...

im going to give this a try on a non-production server just because i dont want to break my hosting...

where is the database of horde i could not see i n the plesk panels phpmyadmin?

Also do you know can we have a sent folder after upgrading Horde? Or other extensions that should be in horde normally

PS : When I used Horde in Linux, if it was usefull.But after i switch to Plesk+Win the horde is too useless . For example i could not see the sent folder or trash folder.

I havent had a chance to do the update yet... probably wont happen until next week. I have family coming in this week and over the weekend....
