• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Upgrade Disaster from Plesk 8.3 to 8.6 - All Websites Are Down

mariano81

New Pleskian
Okay, in trying to upgrade Plesk 8.3 to 8.6, and SiteBuilder from 4.0 to 4.3.2 this happened:

1- Backend of Plesk Works Perfect

2- Backend of SiteBuilder is NOT working

3- All webistes on front-end are NOT working
(however https, ping, tracert, ftp, and mail seem to work fine)

My machine is:

CPU GenuineIntel, Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.80GHz
Version psa v8.6.0_build86080722.02 os_FedoraCore 6
OS Linux 2.6.22.14-72.fc6

-------

Based on my anylisis of what I've see in this forums, and seeing the error logs, it could be:

- IonCube Conflict?
- SSL Conflict?
- Port Conflicts?
- Dependency issue?

SHOULD I FORCE A REINSTALL OF PLESK AND/OR SITEBUILDER? IF SO HOW?

------------------------------------------------------
Because, i could not upgrade plesk via the backend, and did it manually like this;
------------------------------------------------------
chmod +x parallels_installer_v3.3.2_build080619.11_os_FedoraCore_6_i386
./parallels_installer_v3.3.2_build080619.11_os_FedoraCore_6_i386

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller --enable-xml-output --source-type=plesk --target=/root/psa --select-release-id=PLESK_8_6_0 --notify-email=myemail@gmail.com --install-component=base --install-component=docs --disable-plesk-sys-updates

Apperantly port 80 is not open my machine.... man, this is IT investigative work. Any ideas???

I ran a port, ping and tracert test on http://www.speedguide.net/networktools.php

and this is what it showed.... (I changed the way the ip belows below for security reasons. )

Checking Port 80...Port 80 does not appear to be open.

What do you guys make of "tcp 0 0 :::443 :::* LISTEN 15238/httpd"??? could that be where the conflict is?

It appears i solved the issue...

all i did was tell /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf to listen to port 80

it was like this:

# Listen 80

so i took out the comment!

Listen 80
