Question Upgrade ftp curl backup protocol to ftps://

Charlie_Davey

HI

I am trying to connect to a sharefileftp server to backup a specific domain. The problem i have is that when the curl request is made it is sent with a ftp:// instead of a ftps:// which fails the login. I have switched on secure FTPS policies etc.

When i enter the settings into the FTP(S) Storage settings it says check you can connect with the following command

I then manually test the connection from terminal:

curl -v --ftp-pasv --ssl -k -u EXAMPLE 'ftp://EXAMPLE.sharefileftp.com:990/EXAMPLE/'

This does not work, but when i change ftp:// to ftps:// it works

curl -v --ftp-pasv --ssl -k -u EXAMPLE 'ftps://EXAMPLE.sharefileftp.com:990/EXAMPLE/'

(Details replaced with EXAMPLE)

I have looked but cannot seem a find to set the protocol by default. Could anyone advise?
