  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Upgrade Plesk 8.2.1 to 9.2.3

Hello,

I'm currently planning to upgrade my Plesk 8.2.1 (running old Fedora Core 3) to Plesk 9.2.3 on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I'm switching hard drives since there's no way I want to do this in-place, but I'm curious what is the best way to get all my content from 8.2.1 to 9.2.3 -- A Plesk backup from 8.2.1 and then import that data into 9.2.3 or to use the migration manager? I can't quite see the difference between the two.

Can someone offer their two cents?

Thanks!

Jeff
