  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Upgrade to Obsidian on migrated Server

moswak

Regular Pleskian
Is this really a fact that you can not "upgrade" a migrated server (confixx) to Plesk Obsidian?

Plesk pre-upgrade check
WARNING: There are 292 accounts with passwords encrypted using a deprecated algorithm. Please refer to Plesk upgrade warning: There are accounts with passwords encrypted using a deprecated algorithm for the instructions about how to change the password type to plain.

The Mysqlpasswords are criticized because they were apparently migrated engrypted.
To reset the Mysqlpassword with hundreds of accounts is a huge effort.

Proceeding with installation or upgrade without resolving the issues
that were found can corrupt your data.

what happens if you do the upgrade despite the warning? then the databases are no longer available?
