  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Upgrade to Plesk Onyx is failing

Nesse

New Pleskian
Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade my plesk version 12.5.30 to the latest available (onyx) version but keep getting an error. I'm running plesk on windows server 2012. I've changed the password for that user with the mysql command prompt but the upgrade is still failing. Does someone knows how to fix this issue?

Plesk pre-upgrade checking...
FATAL_ERROR: [MYSQL ERROR] Given <password> is incorrect. Access denied for user 'plesk_usr'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Best regards,

Thx @UFHH01,

I've tried your fix, but it didn't work. It seems it is accessing an other user => plesk_usr'@'localhost?

Best regards

Hi Nesse,

pls. inform us about ( possible ) changes you made, so that we are able to investigate your issue further. It could help as well to tell us step-by-step, how you tried to upgrade, beginning with your login over RCP, or over the Plesk Control Panel. In addition, pls. make sure to run the upgrade as root/admin and not as any additional administration user.

This is where I get stuck:
