• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

user quotas with postfix

Regular Pleskian
I need to move to postfix instead of qmail for a variety of reasons I won't go into here.

In my testing, I've setup a demo plesk 9.0.1 instance with postfix. I'm testing out user quotas.

In the old qmail configuration, when you sent mail that would put the user over quota, it would bounce the message back to the sender with an error stating the recipient mailbox is over quota. I want to preserve this functionality.

When testing plesk with postfix, the mail is absorbed into the postfix queue and gives success back to the sender SMTP, however postfix never delivers it to the recipient. Instead it logs a deferral line:

Apr 16 12:45:57 plesktest postfix/pipe[9410]: D6B35DCF8012: to=<bk@???????.com>, relay=plesk_virtual, delay=242, delays=240/0.01/0/2.3, dsn=4.2.1, status=deferred (Message can not be delivered at this time )

and when you run mailq, it shows the message status "Message can not be delivered at this time". It remains in the queue for days.

I can just hear it from my users since the sender sees success and the recipient never gets it, nor any warning/error messages.

How can I get it to work like it did with qmail and bounce the message?
