  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Username error changing hosting type from "forwarding" to "website hosting"

Hello,

Which username and password credentials should be used when changing the hosting type from "forwarding" to "website hosting"? I used the Plesk login credentials but found the error "the username must be longer than 32 characters... ...."

Is it supposed to create new credentials? Does this influence the Plesk login credentials?

Thanks

32 characters or less
only lowercase
alphanumeric (meaning a-z, 0-9, but no special characters beyond)
start with lowercase a-z

Then you can add dash or underscore, but not %, =?, $ or something. The username is directly used as the Linux username, so all the limits valid for Linux usernames apply.
