  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Varnish instead of nginx caching

Regular Pleskian
Hi,
there is steady and growing request for varnish caching out of the box.
Does plesk team consider it in near future?

Regards,
Bulent

While I'd appreciate Plesk adding varnish so that I'd only need to add the vcl, I doubt Plesk will do this, because it would be very support intensive, as the problem with varnish is that it is necessary to configure its vcl to the needs of the backend, and while Plesk supports some backends via the application catalog that they would need to provide vcls for, it gets ugly if you have more than one backend on your domain because the vcls need to be combined which is not always possible, and they don't even have e.g. shopware in there.
