• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

version numbers and patches

Basic Pleskian
hopefully someone can help.

We are running a number of 8.6 servers and the "updater" is happy with the versions and says 8.6 is up to date.

Now, looking at the plesk sites the patches gives higher version numbers ...

Is this right ?

My version according to the desktop is: psa v8.6.0_build86090811.11 os_Ubuntu 8.04

but the download patch version is : Ubuntu 8.04 build92090212.19

does this mean updater does not catch patches ?

also, can I safely go straigh to patch5 ?

thanks

Andy

Not really.

I think build92090212.19 is a Plesk 9.2 (that's the 92 at the start) patch rather than an 8.6 patch.
