  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Very bad performance on MySQL (mail)

Basic Pleskian
Hello all,
we have one plesk 8.2.1 server for centralized mail only running.
There is installed an older OS and MySQL!

Now we have to tune up the tables with a newer MySQL version. Can i copy the tables and make simple update?

Plesk 8.2.1 on CentOS 3 with MySQL 3.23.58-16.RHEL3.1.

Thanks and regards,

AndreasK

what do you mean 'copy'? dumps are generally used for this purpose, if you copy binaries of course they will not work at the new installation.
the main concern after mysql update is that user 'admin' exists and its password the same as in /etc/psa/.psa.shadow - thus Plesk will start and run normally.
