• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved was https hosting, changed to forwarding, cert issue

Hi all,

domain was hosted, used https with lets encrypt cert.
owner did management contract with other company. They ask to redirect the domain to their site.

After i switched hosting type from hosting to forwarding and visit the domain (using https), instead of forwarding, it shows as certificate error. [Which does make sense as the proper domain cert isn't available anymore, it now reverts to the servers own security cert.]

How to overcome this issue?

cheers,
Tom

hi,

it appears forwarding/masking of domains just isn't compatible with https.

have in the meantime reverted to:

re-enabled hosting, and created an .htaccess file with
Code:
Redirect 301 / http://new-management-company.com

Works a treat :)

cheers,
Tom
