  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Website Timeouts (WP when Traffic is high)

Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian Version 18.0.47 Update #5
Hello,

we have the problem with a Wordpress site that we host that it always becomes very slow / get Timeouts when the customer sends out a newsletter and the traffic to the site increases. Normally the page is very fast, at times after the newsletter the browser remains 30 seconds white and then gets a timeout.

It seems that some service is reaching its limit here, but I can't find out which one.
There are no CPU spikes, there is enough RAM, IO is not greatly increased...
Unfortunately, I can't find any messages in the log files regarding:
- MaxRequestWorkers
- server reached max_children setting
- ...

Plesk itself / other Pages on the Server are accessible with normal speed.

I'm slowly running out of ideas what else to check. Which service could reach its limit here?!?

I hope you have one or two good ideas here! :)
Thanks
