  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi tristans,

Plesk uses it's very own webserver ( sw-cp-server ) for its Plesk Control Panel. You need this specific webserver to control your server and its settings, when you installed Plesk.

oh, ok, thanks. i wish this was clearly explained somewhere. If sw-cp-server is not running or down, is it still possible to log-in on virtuozzo to restart this service?

Hi tristans,

just use the command

service sw-cp-server restart
or
/etc/init.d/sw-cp-server restart

over the command line, to restart this service.
