  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi all,

Is it at all possible to run Plesk on Windows XP, without Microsoft Server software? I would like to make some skins on my local machine, but have no real use for purchasing a full Windows Server license.

I wanted to know... is this even possible to run on a simple Windows XP Pro machine with IIS?

Try it. Let us know how it went. XP Pro has a limit on 10 concurrent connections. It can only host one site (as u probably already know this in).
 
I tried, but it won't even go through the installation phase without the "you do not have Windows Server" message. Blah.
