• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

yum update trashes plesk 9.2.2

Regular Pleskian
I am attempting to install plesk on a new server with a fresh install of CentOS5.3

Then I run yum update before installing plesk and it complains about glibc.

So.... I started over and installed the OS, then plesk without the yum update and everything went fine. That is until I ran yum update.

I have done this about 20 times this week using the ART repos and still have the same issues.

Can anyone tell me what excludes I should have in yum.conf to prevent these conflicts? I have already excluded bind.

Hello,

Glibc is a system library so if you have some errors when you are trying to update it then the error may be connected with repository inconsistency. Have you tryied to use just standard CentOS repositories:

Hello
Please check this article regarding the question:
http://kb.odin.com/en/234
It is recommended to exclude:
kernel* sendmail bind-chroot caching-nameserver
Also, we recommend to install Plesk first then run OS upgrade.
