• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Yes. You'll need to reconfig Plesk in order to have any new or enhanced features appear in the plesk service manager.

    Dns - Name Server Problem

I would guess the name servers you're using are timing out, and you're getting hit with multiple DNS requests simultaneously, killing your DNS service. The best thing to try would be to change the name servers you're using. If you don't have alternates from your colo/isp, try OpenDNS.

    Plesk 9.0.1 / Any changes ?

Nope. We've had trouble with anything fancy like that anyway, so it's not worth futzing about with. Discovered this morning that the RDNS filter (with only zen.spamhaus.com enabled) was preventing AUTHENTICATED users from sending outgoing email via SMTP. Had to disable that in order to get...

    Plesk 9.0.1 / Any changes ?

I upgraded a RHEL4 server from Plesk 8.2.1 to 9.0.1 this morning. Mail died completely, and I spent many hours troubleshooting the problem, trying different fixes throughout the forum and KB. Finally, ThePlanet (thank God for a company that's actually willing to support Plesk!) was able to help...

    Stats problem

Login to Plesk as admin, click 'domains', click the box to list no more than 100 at a time (or you may have errors). Check the box that selects all domains (to the left of the column headings). Click the link "Group Operations". Make the necessary changes (disable or re-enable the webmail...

    Redirect 301

Will, it is apparent to me that maybe you don't understand English very well. If you did, you might have noticed that this is the WINDOWS support forum. Providing Linux solutions here is all but useless. Sure, there are "ways" to make them work, but they're absolutely unnecessary given that...

Plesk doesnt update the DNS table

As a workaround until it's fixed, you can use a group change to disable webmail for all of the sites, then re-enable it using another group change, which should re-create the DNS records correctly.

MS Outlook cannot send or receive emails

Have you checked to see if the POP3 service is running on the services page? Login to Plesk (as administrator), click "Server" on the left, then "Services Management" on the right. Click the "+" under "Mail Server" and ensure that all services are "green"/running. If there's an error, post it...

    Dns - Name Server Problem

Are you positive that your server can reach the nameservers it is assigned? For example, if it's using 208.67.220.220, ping it and do a direct DNS lookup with that NS as source to make sure it's working correctly. In windows this is done by suffixing the nslookup query with the IP of the name...

    Set up Tortoise SVN

TortoiseSVN is the "client" application, and doesn't require any local "service" to function. However, it sounds like you're wanting to install the SVN *server*, Subversion. That might cause issues for you. I would recommend running it on a non-standard port, or removing one of your IP...

    Redirect 301

I provided TWO solutions, solutions which didn't require the administrator to spend money on a third party product that would add complexity, memory overhead and another maintenance headache to the server. My point is that there's NO REASON at all to go out buying another product to replace...

Looks like you might have a firewall blocking UDP port 53. Add that port as an exception and it might fix your problem.

Switch stats services (from Awstats to Webalizer) then back again. Use Group Operations and it should go pretty quickly.
