• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    DNS records missing

Is there an ETA for 10.4? We'll need to do some migrations to Plesk 10 next week, but this issue will cause problems. Could this be fixed through a micro update for 10.3.1?

    DNS records missing

Any updates on this issue? This is a pretty serious issue when we're doing migrations from Plesk 9 to 10.

    spamassassin-3.3.0 won't work with plesk

RHEL/CentOS 5 comes with SpamAssassin 3.3.1 as well now: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2011-1035.html Does this mean upgrading to CentOS 5.7 will cause problems for people running Plesk 8.6.0 with psa-spamassassin?

    Postfix

You probably have PTR records in your DNS zones. If there are multiple PTR records for the local IP address then a random one will be picked for use in the headers. In most cases the PTR records for your server's IP addresses are managed by your hosting provider and in that case you shouldn't...

    Dovecot at Plesk

Dovecot would be very nice, since there is a Sieve plugin which would allow for server-side rules for things like filing messages directly into other folders than the inbox. http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve

Creating an email address without the web interface

I recommend undoing all of that and using the Plesk command line tools instead. You can find the documentation on http://www.parallels.com/products/plesk95/resources/

    Configure open_basedir

You might want to ask your question in the Windows section of the forums. Or consult the Windows-specific documentation for PHP.

    Python as FastCGI or CGI

I believe it would work just fine. At least I know it does for Perl scripts (I rename scripts to *.fcgi to run them using FastCGI). Have you tried Python scripts? If so and it didn't work, what have you done exactly?

Java JRE newer version upgrade from an old version

CentOS 5 has a java-1.6.0-openjdk package which gives you OpenJDK 1.6.0. If you need Oracle's version of Java, I think you'll have to download it from their site.

    CentOS 6 and Plesk 9

I see RHEL 6 is supported now when using Plesk 9.5.4. Since CentOS 6 is binary compatible with RHEL 6 I'd expect it'd be pretty easy to support CentOS 6 as well. But it's not going to happen?

    ftp account icon

AFAIK there is no separate FTP Accounts feature in Plesk 9. Web users have separate FTP accounts within a domain, but that may not be what you're looking for.

plesk fails to start: how to get all domains configs?

Nothing in Plesk's error_log in /var/log/sw-cp-server on why it won't start? I don't believe there is a supported way of exporting and importing domain setups including mail accounts, cronjobs, etc. in Plesk except for Plesk Migration Manager. You can run the autoinstaller (I don't know...

    ETA Centos 6?

Hm, you're right, I hadn't noticed that RHEL 6 is supported with Plesk 9.5.4. I had heard that support for RHEL/CentOS 6 would not come to Plesk 9, but apparently it already has for RHEL. But you're not forced to use Plesk 10, right? EL5 is still supported. And every 6 months? Come on, Plesk...

    ETA Centos 6?

I understood there won't be CentOS 6.x support for Plesk 9.x. It's also not there yet for Plesk 10.x, although RHEL 6.x is supported on the most recent versions of Plesk 10.

    Whats new in 10.3?

+1 for server side email filter support! :)

    CentOS 6 and Plesk 10

CentOS 6.0 has been released: http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS6.0 Since Plesk 10.3.0 supports RHEL 6, it should also work on CentOS 6, so I expect official support for Plesk 10.x on CentOS 6.x will arrive soon.

    CentOS 6 and Plesk 9

CentOS 6.0 has been released: http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS6.0 I believe I've heard no (future) Plesk 9.x release will support RHEL/CentOS 6.x, is that correct? Since Plesk 10.3.0 supports RHEL 6, it should also work on CentOS 6, so I expect official support for Plesk...
