  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Plesk backup doubles my local disk space usage when backing up to remote server

    Seems that Plesk has to compile the backup thus doubling my needed disk space locally, before it will send those files to my remote server via FTP. Anyone know of a work around for this? I'd rather not pay my web host for disk storage I only need briefly for backups.

    I am also on Media Temple and am having the same problem. In addition to that issue, when the backup runs, Plesk requires double my normal disk space. Apparently it must first compile all the filse and then it will FTP them to the remote location.
