• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Access non Mysql PSA database

Even easier, just copy it to your workstation, open it up in Access, edit and re-upload. :) Better yet is to convert it to MS SQL. I saw somewhere that it can be done but have no details on it. When I saw my DC Plesk install used Access, I uninstalled it and then re-installed it myself using...

    DNS Zone Serial #'s

There is a simple fix for Bind users of 7.6.1 on Windows. (I do not know if this is the same on Linux flavors.) Add SOA_SERIAL_MODE YYYYMMDDnn to your misc table in the PSA database. Unfortunately I have not been able to get this to work with MS DNS but can find no documentation stating that it...

    Ms Dns & Soa_serial_mode

When altering the PSA database misc table to change the SOA date format it works for Bind but causes MS DNS to fail as well as all Plesk functions with domains. Is there a different edit to the table for MS DNS or is this "fix" just not supported except with Bind?

    DNS Zone Serial #'s

It is just a warning at it does not affect the operation of the DNS, however if you are a host catering to developers, businesses and techies then it makes a huge difference. I for one have always queried DNS reports before hosting with anyone. All items must pass, including multiple MX...
