  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Ms Dns & Soa_serial_mode

Basic Pleskian
When altering the PSA database misc table to change the SOA date format it works for Bind but causes MS DNS to fail as well as all Plesk functions with domains. Is there a different edit to the table for MS DNS or is this "fix" just not supported except with Bind?

What steps did you follow to change the tables?
I use Bind for my primary DNS and MS DNS for my secondary and I can’t get the SOA to use the right format YYYYMMDDnn

sorry for the late reply, I do not frequent this forum. All you have to do is open the PSA database, table misc, and add Param soa_serial_mode value YYYYMMDDnn I know this to work on bind in windows. I do not know if it works on Linux.
