• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How do I enable SpamAssassin in Plesk?

Domains -> (domain) -> mail -> (mailuser) -> SpamAssassin is OFF and not hyperlinked, i.e. can't be set ON. I have Virtuozzo/Plesk-Premier license and have installed psa-spamassassin and spamassassin modules via VZMC. The license clearly says that spamassassin is enabled. Services...

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

I realize it is getting a futile discussion, I just want to make my point that since Cpanel, Ensim and other CP's has no more safety problems caused by this than Plesk perhaps SWsoft should consider at least making it optional. That is all, I rest my case.

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

Why do you think Cpanel use .htaccess for ACL? Where have you got that from? Are you sure you're not just trying to change subject? (It is of course possible to add .htaccess ACL but it's not the main ACL)

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

Actually I strongly disagree. Cpanel and Ensim both don't make such trickery to stop a generally understood feature from working. I don't see why SWsoft feels they need to babysit their users. AFAIK there are no indications of this being a problem with Cpanel and Ensim. Are you saying...

How to pipe mail to a process in Plesk/Qmail?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think you misunderstood the question. Since the forum in the link requires signing up just to even read the forum here is the content of the post: I am not asking how I can send a mail from a process, that's simple stuff. I'm asking how to send a mail...

How to pipe mail to a process in Plesk/Qmail?

How do I setup Plesk/Qmail to pipe email to an email account into a script. Under standard sendmail all that's needed is a line in /etc/aliases like: email-addy: "| /etc/smrsh/script" How's it done in Plesk/Qmail?

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

I don't know how you got the impression I use MSIE. I use Firefox and I think Opera use the same password storage method and will have the same problems. , I only explained that also MSIE had the problem to not get brushed off on that account. As for password quality, I of course fully agree...

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

Critical - I think it is. I manage a large number of servers, both Ensim, Cpanel and Plesk and it is p***annoying that I have to dig up paper with passwords every time I go to manage one of the Plesk servers. I just don't like babysitter software, similarly with Plesk's forms that DEMAND that...

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

Excuse me but why do you get the idea this is more secure on a PC in a home office, with applied passwords and master password, why should it be less secure than writing down admin passwords on a piece of paper next to the PC - which is what most people do when they can't let the browser store...

Password management - another Plesk annoyance!

Firefox can normally save login/passwords and other form information for websites but with Plesk it seems unable. Why is that? How can it be fixed?

    Ssi Problems... Still

Yes, it seems with 7.5.4 whether you tick SSI or not the necessary "Options Includes" are never actually added to any of Apaches config files. Just create a vhost.conf or something like that under /home/httpd/vhosts/(site)/conf and include the line "Options +Includes" and it should work...

    MAPS RBL and Whitelists

Normally I would expect a host which has been whitelisted to NOT be blocked - ever. It seems though that whitelists do not kick in when a site is listed by a MAPS RBL. I do understand that it might be difficult to implement, but I really would expect a whitelisted host to NOT be blocked.

How do I block an incoming IP address for qmail

Well as you may know VE's (Virtuozzo virtual servers) don't like iptables too much, and I need to block a couple of countries who has never produced anything by spam for me - china, korea, taiwan for starters. As you may also know they rarely use their real .cn, .tw and .kr as the mail...

How do I block an incoming IP address for qmail

27 views, no replies, does that mean it can't be done? In sendmail it's just adding the IP or even part of the IP into /etc/mail/access. If qmail is to hot it surely must have a way to do this too :)

How do I block an incoming IP address for qmail

I know I can blacklist email addresses and domain name, but I want to know how I can block an IP or IP-range from Qmail. badmailfrom only seems to accept domain names. Does /etc/tcp.smtp work on Plesk? I prefer not involving iptables.

    YUM Update error

I wouldn't dream about blaming ART, I know he does his best, which under the circumstances is outstanding! I am blaming SWsoft who are employing exceedingly creative licensing methods to extract more money for a piece of software that appears more and more flawed. Examples include charging...

    YUM Update error

We're paying good money to have the psa-spamassassin module as part of Plesk for our clients - now you're telling me "it is recommended to yum --exclude=psa-spamassassin" ? Perhaps we should just ask for a refund from swsoft then? :)

    YUM Update error

I already removed both spamassassin and psa-spamassassin -- read again: rpm -qa | grep spamassassin This would return any psa-spamassassin still in the rpm system. That is the problem. I have removed all psa-spamassassin and spamassassin rpm's yet "yum install" still complains that...
