• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

who can help me with an update?

No, as I told you earlier I haven't purchased the VPS yet, since it comes with CentOS 6 and I don't know how to update it. If I do have a guideline showing the exact steps I have to take, then I could purchase the VPS. For now, I seriously don't know what to do.

who can help me with an update?

Igor, in the link you gave me concerning the free assistance it says: What exactly does this mean? I don't know how to perform a new install. That is why I need assistance. And if I want a new installation, will the people who do this clear the current OS and Plesk 12, or do I have to do that?

who can help me with an update?

    >> I'm not sure that anyone here has enough time to teach you the basic knowledge of Linux аdministration... I understand that. I was more hoping that someone could tell me the steps to execute, as simple as "do this", "now do this". The steps may refer to webpages (links), but there is so...

who can help me with an update?

Thanks Igor. I see that if I ask assistance it might take 10 business days before they can help me. Is there a way I can do it myself? Can you help me by giving the exact steps/commands I have to execute?

who can help me with an update?

Hello, As I already told you earlier I am a (PHP) programmer and not very familiar (yet) with managing a server, but I'm willing to learn. I want to rent a VPS with Plesk 12 but the webhosting company at this moment only offers it with CentOS version 6. So here is what I want. I would...

    update OS, difficult?

Thanks. By the way, in the first link I read about "Parallels Plesk Automation". Is that something different then Plesk Panel? Is it like a separate software package?

    update OS, difficult?

Actually I'm looking for something very simple, since this is all quite new to me. I'm looking for some sort of "manual" that says "do this", "now type this" and so on... Is it optionally possible to stick to CentOS 6 and only update PHP? Can that be done from within Plesk?

    update OS, difficult?

Hi guys, I'm about to purchase a VPS with Plesk 12, but at the moment the only available CentOS version is 6. This comes bundled with PHP 5.3, while I need at least PHP version 5.4. I think CentOS 7 has PHP 5.4? I want to use CentOs 7. Is it difficult to update from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7...

    DNS, general understanding

Hi guys, I'm thinking of purchasing/renting a VPS with PLESK. From the hosting company I understand that there are 2 ways to "connect" a domain to Plesk. 1. Purchase a domain name from within Plesk. 2. Purchase a domain name outside Plesk and configure DNS so it points to my VPS. The first...

Thanks UFHH01. I'm new here so I'm learning new things every day :)

    general folder?

Thanks for your reply Brujo. I thought it was some basic stuff, since I assume that people who use a framework/cms do not install this framework/cms for each individual domain. I'll look into it a bit further then. Other reactions are still welcome...!

    general folder?

Hi guys, I'm still reading documentation about Plesk to learn more about it. So far it looks good! I have a simple question. Let's say I have a "general folder" where my cms/framework files are located, for example: /var/www/cms Can any domain access this folder? Let's say I have...

your experiences with Plesk, is it good?

Thanks for taking the time to reply Graphrix! Can you tell me what kind of problems? Did you ever had serious problems which caused your websites to stop working for example? In general I would like to know if Plesk is a stable solution for managing my websites. Is it? Any other users who...

your experiences with Plesk, is it good?

Helly guys, I was wondering... what are your experiences (in general) with Plesk? I am thinking of changing from cPanel to Plesk. Is plesk easy to use, or is it complicated? Is there a learning curve? Do you often experience problems/bugs, or does everything work as it should? If...
