• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    MailEnable Service Periodicly Down

Hey :) You are not alone with that problem... just check the mailenable forums and you'll find a huge thread about that... so it's no Plesk Issue but a Mailenable Issue... We had it here ourselves; upgrading to the newest Mailenable (for our side here below 2.0 as that wasn't yet...

Need help with setting up Plesk please

Well, that again depends on the registrar... In our system we have to create a new nameserver first and can then select the nameservers from a list in our system. So please have a look in your webinterface at your registrar if you have to create/register the nameservers first. You can...

Need help with setting up Plesk please

Hello! Well congrats that you made it this far already :) The next steps depend on the TLD of your domain. If it is .com I think it might be enough to create a new DNS-Entry on your server called ns2.domain.com as A entry pointing to your IP. Then you can go to your registrar and...

Need help with setting up Plesk please

Ok, let's try it ;-) Well, first of all, Where did you register your domain-name (company)? There your domain name settings are stored. There you can simply set up an entry that directs all requests to the fixed IP your Plesk-Server has. And also add an PTR-Record or you might have...

    PHP5 und PHP4

Hey ;-) Funny translation :p What i was saying in my german post was, that you can compile PHP5 manually and then have to add/edit the apache config-files manually to use the compiled php5-version. Only the Windows-Version of Plesk (I don't know why they only did that feature for...

i need a full support price

hamed, please don't get me wrong here but do you think it is a good idea to start a hosting bussiness without any knowledge of the subject? I personally can tell you that you need a _lot_ of experience and knowledge of your OS, the applications you use (and plesk) to be able to give your...

    PHP5 und PHP4

Hey!

    Plesk key update deferral notification

Hello, Peter! I don't know where 1&1 saves the plesk keys, sorry :-( But the key with the zeroes is the standard plesk-demo-key which is valid for one domain and one domain-user! So you have to ask the 1&1 Hotline to tell you where to find you plesk-Key-File. You can ask them also if...

    Plesk key update deferral notification

Hello Peter! I personally think there's just a problem in the strings that the swsoft-engineers programmed into Plesk ^^ I think the message should be like this: "The version of your installed software is 8.1, but the current license version is 8.0. Upgrades from 8.0 to 8.1 are not...

Has anybody managed to install Typo3 4.x on a Plesk 8 (Linux) install successfully?

Hey! We have Typo3 4.0-Installations working here on our 8.0.1-boxes. You have to take care of installing suPHP though. And that's a really difficult thing to do :-( We are currently experimenting around with Plesk 8.1 to install the suPHP again...

    PHP: SuExec not working?

Hm.. then I must have gotten the purpose of SuEXEC wrong ;) So suEXEC only runs CGI-Scripts as the user and group the domain belongs to, right? Is there another possibility than using suPHP (which was freaking difficult to install and configure for Plesk) to achieve Apache running...

    PHP: SuExec not working?

But then I'd have to change all scripts to contain the "#!/bin/xxx/php", right? And that would be no option... Shouldn't SuExec do that (running the script as the domainuser)?
