  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

10.4.4 to 11.x how to? "Update Components" greyed out

Sven L.

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

I think the title sais it all.

10.4.4 to 11.x how to? "Update Components" greyed out

i want to upgrade to 11 on a test server and the "Update Components" button is greyed out.

i have a 100 domain license which is valid until august...

What about start upgrade in CLI with help of command

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller

Hello, when I try it via SSH either with the autoinstaller or with the freshly downloaded installer, I only get the option to reinstall 10.4.4 (yes, I used --all-versions)

can this be license related? or what may be the reason?

No, I already did that and said so in my last post.

BUT! I think I found the problem.

I thought I had ubuntu 10.04 and I was wrong, I just checkeed again and I have ubuntu 8.04
even tho the machine has enough hardware I think plesk 11 does not support ubuntu 8.04, right?

i will see if i manage to upgrade to ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) via SSH and come back here if the plesk upgrade still works (assuming i don't kill the server, haha)

I'd recommend you migration from this old server to new with latest version of Ubuntu and Plesk.

Yes, thanks IgorG, that is what I would usually do, but this is a server that is going to be cancelled in 4 days and I am doing some stress and "worst case scenario" tests on it, I would never dare to test on a live server or even on a regular test server.
